Murdeline Sullivan killed in attack of elderly couple
An elderly couple was attacked at their home in Buxton Town. Wakefield in the early morning hours of Thursday, February 3.
Sixty-three-year-old Murdeline Sullivan, a housewife was killed, chopped to death while her husband is nursing injuries in the hospital.
Reports from the Linstead Police are that about 1:00 a.m., the couple was sleeping when they heard a sound outside and her husband went to make checks.
The husband was allegedly attacked and received injuries to his face. He raised an alarm and the perpetrator escaped. His wife was later found inside their home with chop wounds all over her body.
Both were assisted to the hospital, where Murdeline was pronounced dead.
The police are investigating.
This deadly attack on an elderly couple in their own home, continues a rash of violent crime that has infected Jamaica so far this year. Despite the fact that many are fed up with the sky high crime rate; there have also been many instances of criminals being aided and abetted by some in the general populace.
