Will Donald Trump Jr. Get Jimmy Kimmel Cancelled?

Jimmy Kimmel has for a long time taken the task of signaling his virtue very seriously. Especially since Donald Trump was elected president in 2016. Who can forget the ‘comedian’s’ sobbing performance on television pleading with the “evil” Trump to keep Obamacare?

That was in 2017. In 2018 “Kimmel pressed actor Tom Arnold about a tape that allegedly showed President Donald Trump using the “n-word,” which has never materialized.” (Daily Wire)

“I want to hear this tape! Where is this tape? You keep saying you will! When? When he’s retired?” Kimmel asked. Clearly, his need to signal his seeming limitless virtue didn’t commence with this most recent spate of race-baiting; which in turn were sparked, ostensibly by the death of George Floyd.

However, thanks to Donald Trump Jr., the flames of these protests and the overall cancel culture, may consume not just the statues of confederate generals and former slaveowners; they may just consume the careers of SJWs like Kimmel.

Tweeted Trump Jr. on Monday: “To be clear, I’m 100% against punishing comedians for jokes, even bad jokes from unfunny hack comedians like Jimmy Kimmel…but according to the left’s own woke rules that @jimmykimmel wants to force others to live by, it’s hard to see how @ABCNetwork allows him to keep his show.”

Very true. But moral consistency has hardly been a virtue the left has ever been willing to signal.

Trump Jr’s tweet came off the back of Fox News Editor Gregg Re’s report that Kimmel used the “N” word, in a Comedy production back in the 90s.

Reports Re: “Fox News additionally has obtained audio from the Christmas album, “A Family Christmas In Your A–,” which came out of the “Kevin & Bean” radio show that aired on KROQ-FM in California. A version of the track featuring Kimmel’s Snoop Dogg imitation, “Christmastime in the LBC,” has been uploaded to YouTube.”

The report continues: “Liner notes from the cassette, obtained by Fox News, showed the album was co-produced by “Jim Kimmel” and credited Kimmel for all “comedy material” on the album, except for a handful of unrelated tracks. Kimmel also appeared on the album cover.”

Anyone who tries to argue that this was way back in 1996 and therefore irrelevant today; has clearly forgotten the high “woke” standards established by the left, who’ve torn down statues of figures such as Christopher Columbus; even though he lived and died hundreds of years ago. If Columbus can be judged today for being a “racist”, then so should Jimmy Kimmel.

But this isn’t exactly Kimmel’s first racial rodeo. His infamous Karl Malone skit, where he puts on blackface and portrays the then NBA star as a complete moron, has been public knowledge for years. He wasn’t cancelled for it back then. His liberal plot armor was particularly thick back then, as thick as the left wing’s moral hypocrisy.

However, there’s something genius about the timing of Trump Jr’s observation, that may work to get Kimmel cancelled this time. Many liberals on Twitter are currently bashing Kimmel for things they’d already known about. But again, we’re living in the post George Floyd era. What was permissible before just isn’t anymore.

Last week, Kimmel went on vacation leave. Let’s hope after this controversy, he no longer gets the chance to use his “comedy” show, as a platform to spew his left wing drivel. Let’s hope Trump Jr. succeeds where others have failed. Let’s hope Kimmel gets cancelled.
