Despite the dozens who continue to lose their lives, pro crime politicians and activists, continue to argue the inhumanity of keeping convicted criminals in prison during the coronavirus pandemic.
On Friday, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.) reiterated his call for prisons to release more inmates, which he alleges (without any actual evidence); will help slow the spread of the coronavirus.
“The HEROES Act also includes a bill I introduced, called the ‘Correctional Facility Emergency Response Act,’ to help address this crisis in state and local prisons and jails,” Nadler said, referring to the $3 trillion coronavirus stimulus bill the House recently passed. “This measure would utilize grant funding to incentivize the release of particularly vulnerable prisoners who are not a risk of harming others and to fund prevention and treatment of COVID-19 in prisons and jails.”
It’s clear that Nadler is either living in his own bubble; or he’s a pathological liar. As this Just The News article points out, violent criminals have been released among the non violent ones, and tragically, some of them had to be rearrested for committing violent crimes, including murder.
The article also points out that “In April, Illinois released 4,000 inmates, including 64 that were serving a sentence for murder. Virginia decided to approve inmates for release who were convicted of murder, rape, and kidnapping. In Pennsylvania, a rape suspect was released from jail and died during a neighborhood altercation involving a SWAT team on May 12.”
Nadler’s literal criminal push is more than illustrative of the darker side of the democratic electoral system.
Why would Democrats be so keen on protecting the “rights” of convicted criminals, if they weren’t salivating over the prospect of a brand new voting bloc? One that could keep them in power for decades. In fact, the parallels between this and Democrat support for illegal immigration, are striking.
As Bertrand Russell once said: “Our great democracies still tend to think that a stupid man is more likely to be honest than a clever man, and our politicians take advantage of this prejudice by pretending to be even more stupid than nature made them.”
