The case against Flynn is now over.” Reads the final line of a Breitbart article entitled: DOJ Drops Michael Flynn Prosecution. But given everything Michael Flynn, his wife and family have been put through, the case against the Federal Government, and the DOJ, should just be getting started.

“The news comes a week after new evidence released to Flynn’s lawyers showed FBI agents apparently attempting to trap Flynn into lying to them, hoping he would be prosecuted or fired”, continues the above referenced Breitbart report. “The evidence also suggested they knew he had not committed a separate crime.”

“What’s our goal?” reads an unidentified FBI agent’s handwritten notes before a planned FBI interaction with Flynn. “Truth/admission or to get him to lie, so we can prosecute him or get him fired? If we get him to admit to breaking the Logan Act, give facts to DOJ & have them decide. Or, if he initially lies, then we present him [redacted] & he admits it, document for DOJ, & let them decide how to address it.”

Per another Breitbart article, Flynn “was later prosecuted for lying to the FBI, and pleaded guilty, under pressure and on the advice of his former counsel from Covington and Burling LLP. He had to sell his house to pay his legal fees.” (Keep that in mind.)

Flynn
Michael Flynn is a free man today. But that doesn’t mean he shouldn’t sue the government for trying to destroy him and his family

“I’m very happy for Gen. Flynn,” declared President Trump earlier today reacting to the news. “He was a great warrior, and he still is a great warrior, now in my book he’s an even greater warrior,” Trump said.

The president went on: “He was an innocent man, he is a great gentleman, he was targeted by the Obama administration, he was targeted in order to try and take down a president and what they’ve done is a disgrace, and I hope a big price is going to be paid. I hope a lot of people are going to pay a big price because they are dishonest crooked people, they’re scum … they’re scum, they’re human scum,”

Trump also called out the media for being complicit in Flynn’s unjust fall:

“Their partner, very complicit is a thing called the media, the media is totally guilty, all those writers and so-called journalists, they’re not journalists, they’re thieves. It was fake news. Those Pulitzer Prizes should be given back immediately.”

Speaking of paying a price for what’s happened to General Flynn, California Rep. Devin Nunes made the case, for legal action against the government. According to Newsweek, Nunes said that; “Clearly General Flynn is going to have a civil rights case” he told Laura Ingraham, referring to a potential civil case, adding, “I think it is going to cost the government millions of dollars.”

Flynn should sue. The Justice Department shouldn’t just get to drop the charges, issue a mea culpa, shake hands and then act like nothing happened. They ruined Flynn’s life in more ways than one and now they should pay.
