A goal and an assist by Sead Kolasinac was enough for Arsenal see off a spirited Swansea 2:1.

The Gunners dominated the entire match with very incisive passing in the final third, with possession stats rising as high as 82% in the second half.

However Swansea took the lead completely against the run of play in the first half. After repelling a series of rapier like attacks from Arsenal, Arsenal slowed down the pace but could not prevent a determined Swansea from countering, even with less than 30% possession. Eventually Swansea scored from one of those counters to stun Arsenal who had played well until that point.

Swansea had a few more counter attacks repelled by the Gunners, as Arsenal tried to steady themselves. Eventually they launched a few more attacks, only to be held off by Swansea’s impressive defending.

The early second half double salvo by Kolasinac and Ramsey was enough to see off Swansea though, and at one point it seemed as if they’d be beaten by 5. But they kept on fighting and kept the score respectable.

This comeback is Arsenal’s third in a week, having come from 1:0 down against both Everton in league play and Norwich City in league cup action.
